The G&D REFINERS Process 

We apply a process of per unit grading, toll refining, and hedging.

The first step is per unit grading. We determine what metal content is in each converter and weigh it to calculate its scrap value.

Then, we send the catalytic converters to our trusted refining partners. They extract the metals from the converters using a chemical process and return the metals to us in the form of a concentrated alloy.

Finally, we refine the alloy to extract the individual metals and sell them on the open market. We use a hedging strategy to protect ourselves from changes in the market price of each metal.
